Haircut day can feel like pure chaos. The scissors come out, and your toddler starts crying before you even touch their hair.

For many kids, all the buzzing, snipping, and strange smells are simply overwhelming.

Try turning it into playtime first. Give pretend haircuts to dolls or stuffed animals so your child knows what to expect. Visit the salon before the real appointment and let them sit in the chair for a minute. Bring headphones or a favorite show to distract them.

You can also let your child explore the clippers slowly until the whole experience feels safe.

Have a nice weekend,
